Temple Israel welcomes financial or in-kind contributions to our organization. This support helps us sustain and grow our offerings of Jewish services, education, and Tikkun Olam/Repairing the World work. Contributions are tax-deductible and are acknowledged in our newsletter.
Donate via Check, Cash, or EFT
Checks should be made out to Temple Israel and mailed or dropped off to 27 Pierce Street, Greenfield, MA 01301. If a contribution is intended for a designated fund or purpose, please note that in the memo.
Cash may be dropped off to the Temple. Please include a note stating the purpose of your cash donation.
You may also contribute via EFT. Please contact the office for information on how to set up EFT payments.

Rabbi Andrea Cohen-Kiener has initiated the following two funds as a gift to the Congregation upon her retirement.
A new Jewish Music Fund will be used to pay musicians to help lead services and to support related (ritual and cultural) music programming. This Fund may be supported in the future by people interested in this program area.
The Kiddush Fund: Amplify your simchas and milestones with the gift of an enhanced kiddush for a gathering time after services. We always arrange for the basics of challah and juice/wine. A Kiddush Fund will fund more substantive sweets and savories. Sponsor a personal kiddush or put money in the Kiddush Fund for the Ritual Committee to use for the occasional tuna salad.
SCRIP (Selling Cards Results in Profit) Gift Card Fundraiser
As a fundraiser, we offer gift cards for sale to the community. We buy them in quantity at a discount, and sell them at face value. The difference is the amount we raise for the general fund. In recent years, we have raised between $2,000 and $2,500 per year. This is an easy way to support Temple Israel as we all buy food and gas. These gift cards also make great gifts. Below is a list of the merchants whose gift cards we offer for sale.
- Big Y Supermarkets
- Foster’s Supermarket
- Franklin Community Co-op (Green Fields Market & McCusker’s Market)
- Stop & Shop Supermarkets
- Sunoco Gas Stations
