Dear All,

Inadvertently a shorter version of our introduction ran in the last newsletter.

The Personnel Committee is very happy to announce that we have completed the hiring process for the newly designed Office Manager position. Chrissy O'Connor, our executive direction consultant, did a stellar job of attracting a broad range of candidates. We had 29 applicants and held second interviews with 5 candidates. All had very strong office and computer skills. We included Rabbi Andrea and Carol Silver, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee in the second interviews, as they will be working closely with the Office Manager. It was a difficult choice among 5 very competent candidates. However, we were all in agreement that one candidate had the broadest range of skills. We are happy to announce that Miriam Wells will be joining us as Office Manager.

Miriam is a doctoral candidate at UMass, she has been a teaching assistant in the Departments of History, and Judaic and Near Eastern Studies. She holds an AB from the University of Chicago, and a MS from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Historic Preservation. Miriam has excellent office and computer skills, as well as copy editing, graphic design, website maintenance, audio and video editing and archival research skills. She began on Tuesday March 1st. Please join us in warmly welcoming Miriam. Next time you are in the office, please stop in to introduce yourself to her.
