COVID Accessibility: We will have a designated mask-only, air-purified space in the balcony of our sanctuary. There are two flights of stairs to get to the balcony. If you have further questions, please contact Megan Lieff at [email protected]
Changing over of the Torah and aron (ark garments) to white will occur on Friday, September 8th at 11 am – come help out to get into the spirit of the season, the day before our community-wide slichot service at the JCA!
Friday, September 15th – Rosh Hashanah/Shabes Eve
6:15 pm – 7:15 pm

Saturday, September 16th – Rosh Hashanah/Shabes Day 1
- Opening prayers & Shacharis (morning service) at 9:30 am
- Torah service begins approximately 11:10 am
- **Children’s Service for ages 5-9 will follow the Torah processional. Children under the age of 5 may attend with a parent present. Services will last about 30-40 min.
- Drash at approximately 12:40 pm
- Musaf at approximately 1 pm
Childcare provided from 10 am – 12 pm.
Community-wide potluck luncheon to follow. Please bring a dish to share and note any allergens!
Please note that the shofar service will not occur on this day out of respect for Shabbat. Come on Sunday to hear the shofar!
Sunday, September 17th – Rosh Hashanah Day 2
- Opening prayers & Shacharis (morning service) at 9:30 am
- Torah service begins approximately 11 am
- Drash at approximately 12:30 pm
- Shofar service at approximately 12:45 pm
- Musaf at approximately 1 pm
Taschlich: After kiddush at approximately 3:30 pm
Location: Green River Swimming & Recreation Area, 1 Nash’s Mill Rd, Greenfield. There’s a beach close to the parking lot where we will cast our aveiras/errors. If it’s raining, we will meet under one of the covered areas near the beach. This event will be both kid and adult oriented!
Sunday, September 24th – Yom Kippur Eve
Kol Nidrei starts at 6:15 pm
Candle lighting at 6:26 pm

Monday, September 25th – Yom Kippur
Morning:
- Shacharit begins at 9:30 am
- Torah service begins approximately 11:15 am
- Yizkor at approximately 1 pm (those who need to say Yizkor are encouraged to arrive early at noon so as not to miss this part of the service)
- Musaf at approximately 1:15 pm
Childcare provided from 10 am – 12 pm.

Evening:
- Mincha & Nei’lah at 4:30 pm
- We will close with a final shofar blast and then a brief havdallah
- Break-fast starts approximately 7:30 pm
Fast ends at 7:25 pm
