Traditional Shabbos Morning Service Saturday, March 19, 2016

Saturday, March 19, 2016 @ 10:00 am

Do you love traditional synagogue music?Do you want to learn more about traditional synagogue music? The third Saturday of the month is the time for a traditional Sabbath morning service at Temple Israel of Greenfield. This month, Peggy Davis and Yosl Kurland will be guest leaders on March 19 from 10:00 am to 12:15 p.m., with old-fashioned, old-country-style davening. The service will accommodate those who attend, balancing the needs of those fully conversant with traditional services with those who need more explanation and guidance. For those who don’t know Hebrew, it is perfectly acceptable to chant along in English, or with no words at all. After the service, we will have a potluck dairy meal with conversation and a bit of singing. Please bring a dairy, vegetarian, (kosher) fish or vegan dish to share. If you bring a dessert made with chocolate, please use Fair-Trade or otherwise certified slavery-free chocolate. If you are coming only for the meal, please come by noon so that we are sure to have a minyan for those saying kaddish.
