Maggid David is dedicated to celebrating Judaism’s storytelling heritage and ancient environmental wisdom. He has produced two award winning storytelling CD’s, ‘The Birth of Love’ and ‘The Tales of Herschel of Ostropol’, and created a full-length storytelling performance, “The Jar of Tears: A Memorial for the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto”. This performance won the Charles Hildebrandt Holocaust Studies Award in honor of its artistic excellence, depth of vision and technical mastery. For the past 10 years, he has led Shabbat-inspired contemplative services at the High Ledges Audubon Sanctuary near his home in the Berkshire Foothills. In the past years, David has retrained as a spiritual care counselor and has worked at several community hospitals where he developed specialties in trauma informed care, addiction and spirituality, and listening to grief. David currently oversees bereavement services for Baystate Health Hospice. To view other writing and programs, please visit www.maggiddavid.net
