On this beautiful Shabbat of Shavuot, when we received the Torah, our community will celebrate all of us who have come closer to our path and our practice in this past year. Shavuot is our symbolic marriage and we too will celebrate the ways we have come under the wings of Shechina/Sacred Presence. Those of us who have chosen Judaism, those who have taken on new names and new practices, those of us who have risen to take on new roles in our Jewish community will be celebrated and welcomed. Yizkor will be recited.
After the service, we’ll celebrate with traditional dairy dishes at a kiddush.
