Shabbat Dinner Report from the U.S./Mexico border
Friday, March 6, 2020 - 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Members of Western Massachusetts Jewish Activists for Immigration Justice will join our First Friday Shabbat Dinner to report on their recent experience witnessing, protesting and providing humanitarian aid to asylum-seekers who are being forced to wait for months in crowded and unsafe refugee camps on the Brownsville/Matamoros Border under the controversial "MPP" (aka Wait in Mexico) Program.
Thanks to a Rekindle Shabbat grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, some food will be provided. Vegetarian potluck enhancements are appreciated.
Sponsored by Temple Israel's Refugee Support Project and the Traprock Center for Peace and Justice.
