Hanukkah Storytelling and Latkes Lunch

Sunday, December 10 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

In “Yudl and the bear,” the adults who have been trying to repair the ruined temple don’t know where to turn once it’s time to re-light the eternal lantern. It’s up to Yudl, a young boy, to go on an adventure and find a source of light, and a great treasure.

We’ll enjoy this magical storytelling followed by a light lunch featuring vegan, GF LATKES with applesauce and sour cream. This event will take place in the Social Hall and is FREE for families- kids of all ages are welcome! The House Kapelye (Temple Israel’s klezmer band) will pay a few tunes and a couple Hanukkah songs during lunch.

Weaver is a magid (traditional Jewish oral storyteller), theatre artist, Yiddish translator, and co-artistic director of the Northampton People’s Puppet Parade. Join them on a storytelling journey that is larger-than-life, mythical, and magical!
