Real Teen Theater Launch Meeting

After viewing the Silverthorn Theater production of Ann Frank, teens and their families are invited to meet for the launch meeting of Real Teen Theater of Temple Israel. We'll start at 4:30 at H&R and then continue, if we wish, to get some pizza together.

We'll discuss the goals for the project this year and set the best dates and meeting times for the teens who wish to participate. The leadership teen includes Rabbi Andrea, Christine Benevenuto, Susan Hollins and other friends of Temple Israel. Jews and allies are welcome to come and hear more.

Don White Concert

Don White, folksinger, songwriter, humorist and all around entertainer returns to the Temple for another fun filled performance. You'll laugh, cry, be moved and uplifted as Don entertains us again with his unique way of storytelling and songwriting. This concert includes a CD release of his new CD Live at the Guthrie Center.

Wholesale Klezmer Band @ Hawks & Reed

The Wholesale Klezmer Band, just back from playing for the wedding of a couple with Jewish roots in Baghdad and Eastern Europe, will bring new music from the wedding to Hawks & Reed on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Hebrew texts set to Arabic melodies and Sephardic songs from Morocco and London will join their usual mix of Jewish wedding, vaudeville and social justice songs. So let loose between Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur with lively Yiddish song and dance music.

Circle in the Sukkah

This pot-luck supper, Circle In The Sukkah, has a special theme of sharing our Jewish stories. The story circle is open to Jews and fellow travelers. Come share your and your families' story of escaping, reclaiming renewing, disconnecting and reconnecting to aspects of Jewish life, community and culture.

Vegetarian main dishes, sides, and desserts welcome.

We look forward to sharing our stories!
